HEY BREXIT'S HAPPENING SO, SORRY ABOUT ALL THAT
As the Daily Mail advises us to prepare for a 2021 of eating toast and chips (not a joke) and huddling together for warmth on this benighted wreck of an island, we are once again reminded that due to a) a perplexing level of xenophobia among the general populace and b) governmental ineptness so profound that you almost hope that it's deliberate, we are jackknifing sideways into Brexit on January 1st.
What does this mean for our EU customers? WE DON'T KNOW, WHICH IS COOL. Here's a statement from Maz Hamilton, resident business person:
EU customers! I'm sorry, our country is a problem. We may not be able to sell anything to you after December 20th this year for six months or so, due to the combo of Brexit looking increasingly like it's going to be the worst case scenario, the resulting jam that's happening already at the ports, and the fact that Christmas is in the middle of it. So if you're waiting to pick something up, we'd encourage you to get your order in before that date. EU orders after that point may face an extremely long wait while we register for VAT in multiple countries and deal with whatever the heck is going to happen in January.
