THIS IS NOT A PLACE OF HONOUR
Grant’s gone a bit storygame with this month’s free one-page RPG; This Is Not A Place Of Honour tells two parallel stories at the same time. In one, you’re freewheeling pilgrims on a quest to uncover the ancient treasures of the gods, who came to this land in a great vessel that sailed the sea of stars; in another, you’re the doomed crew of a malfunctioning colony ship that’s about to crash-land into some backwater, uninhabited planet on the edge of civilised space. It’s not our usual fare (very few gags, not many rules) but we hope you like it! Download it here!
HEART - PLAYTESTERS WANTED (SOON)
We’re going to be running playtests of Heart, our upcoming big game, at Gencon. Unfortunately these have all filled up already, but if you’re interested in helping to shape our next game (or you want to dive headlong into a nightmare undercity and tell us whether or not it was fun) you’ll be able to sign up to a playtest mailing list in August.
STRATA - NEARLY IN YOUR SWEATY HANDS
You should have your books soon! They’re with our distributor in Nottingham, and they’re going to be sent out over the next week; UK folks will get them sooner, and the further away from the UK you are, the longer you’ll have to wait until they reach you, we’re afraid. But it’s worth it!
UKGE - WE'LL BE THERE, JUST TRY AND STOP US
We’re going to be at the UK Games Expo, which of course we’ve told you about several times before, but it bears repeating. We’ll be there ALL WEEKEND on stall 2-628 selling our delicious games including some that aren’t even properly out yet, like the vaporwave tarot-heist book ROYAL BLOOD, the cruel and unusual BOOK OF MASKS and the second compendium of ONE-PAGE RPGS, including Jason Statham’s Big Vacation, Crash Pandas, Pride and Extreme Prejudice, and more.
Come along and say hello! We’ll sign anything you bring us - and that’s a promise.
We are also required to write an outro (outroduction?) to these, so: this is that. Have a great July. Eat an ice cream, or don’t, if you’re in the half of the planet that doesn’t get warm in July. Eat a warm cream instead. Wait: that’s disgusting. Don’t eat whatever a “warm cream” is, even if you do live in Australia.
