Memory-wiping! Deluxe maps! London Living Wage! And many more

The year's nearly over.

God, it's hard to come up with intros for these newsletters. Does anyone even read them? Anyway, scroll down for some free stuff, don't let us keep you.

RETROGRADE

You just woke up, and you can’t remember a thing. People are after you. You need answers, fast. This month’s free one-page RPG is RETROGRADE, a game about losing your memory and trying to find out why. Download it here.

DRAGONMEET

We’re going to be at Dragonmeet tomorrow! If you’re around, please do pop down to the trade hall to see us. We’re going to be slap-bang in the middle of the hall along with our friends in the UK Indie RPG League, and we’ll have all kinds of things for sale. As ever, if you ask Grant nicely, he will draw a goblin in any book you present to him.

(We’ll have the new Golden Sea map on sale - see below - as well as the most up-to-date collection of 1-page games yet, including physical copies of Crash Pandas, Pride & Extreme Prejudice, and more.)

GOLDEN SEA DELUXE

Eras ago, this was a city the size of a kingdom – a city that scraped the sky. Then the sands came: a dry ocean that washed away all but the tallest towers. The Crown, a cartel of merchants and mystics, rules the shifting sands. You work for them.

Based on Grant’s 2016 one-page RPG, this 24" by 36" art print comes complete with all the rules, special equipment, enemies, insidious crystalline miracles, ill-boding omens and scenario generation tables from the original 2-page physical copy. It’s been beautifully illustrated by Galen Pejeau – all across it are little touches that shed light on the weird, post-apocalyptic, science-fantasy world of the Golden Sea. You and your players will draw out the Golden Sea on this blank canvas, and create a relic of your campaign world - maybe to visit again later, with a different crew. Order your copy here.

BUNDLE OF HOLDING

We’re in the Indie Cornucopia Bundle of Holding! If you don’t know what a Bundle of Holding is: every month, Allen Varney collects together a bunch of different roleplaying games and sells them as a bundle with a huge discount - some cash goes to charity, some cash goes to him, and some goes to the designers. It’s a great way to pick up some games you might not have thought to take a look at.

Spire is included in the current indie bundle alongside Red Markets (economic survival horror), Tiny Dungeons 2 (rules-light dungeoncrawling with excellent goblins), Dusk City Outlaws (heists and derring-do), Age of Anarchy (12th century intrigue) and Murders & Acquisitions (black comedy business/assassination game). If you like the sound of any of that, you can get the PDFs for dirt cheap if you go along to the Bundle of Holding website here.

STRATA KICKSTARTER

We funded! We funded well over the odds, too, which is lovely. We’ve been blown away by the support that our readers and players have given to us for Spire, and it’s exciting to have a chance to help people tell more stories about the mad, mile-high, cursed city. What this Kickstarter means is, with some good luck and a following wind, we can continue to develop Spire into a full product line with plenty of sourcebooks. It’s absolutely amazing to be able to do this - to bring in enough cash that Chris and Grant are eligible for the London living wage off the back of selling their work. It really is a dream come true.

If you missed out on the Kickstarter campaign, we'll be opening pre-orders for Strata next week.

Right, that's all for now! See you next month.
