Black Magic, Spire launch party, and a rulebook that fits in your pocket

Black Magic, Spire launch party, and a rulebook that fits in your pocket

Lots going on this month! We’ve released a load of stuff since we last wrote, so let’s get on with it, shall we?

Black Magic

Black Magic, the first occult magic supplement for Spire, has rules for: catching a magical disease and becoming a Blood-Witch, replacing your organs with wax copies made by bees so you can fight evil, and
retching up a needle-toothed child every time you fall asleep whether you want to or not. Buy a PDF of it here.

Eidolon Sky

This campaign frame pushes the player characters into the midst of a drug epidemic on the sacred streets of New Heaven coupled with demonic incursions tearing apart Towers of Silence and a deranged serial killer sending mocking letters to the Torch. If you’d like to play Spire but you’re not sure where to start, Eidolon Sky comes with five pre-generated player characters and a broad array of antagonists to set them against.

Blood & Dust

Redesigned and updated in line with the final version, this campaign frame originally released as an early-access Kickstarter reward is now available as a pay-what-you-want PDF from our site. Red Row, a smoky undercity knot of crime and action, is pitched into chaos as the city guard move in to enforce their will and a mysterious play, The Weeping Maiden, is making waves in the bohemian art scene. Pick it up here.

The Streets of Karazun

Grant read some Fighting Fantasy books recently, and while he doesn’t seem super keen on rolling 2D6 and adding his skill to stab up the same goblin a fortieth time, he really liked the atmosphere and general tone of the books. To emulate that, he wrote The Streets of Karazun - a complete city map and rules system that folds up into a little booklet you could slip into your bag for emergencies. Download the free PDF here. (Frankly, if the kind of emergencies you’re facing can be solved with a pocket-sized roleplaying game, you’re living a good life, friend.)

Spire launch party!

We had a party! It was excellent to see those of you who made it on the night - and for those who didn’t, you can read Grant’s speech here.

That’s all. See you in May!
